The proposed development replaces an existing two storey industrial building with a high density apartment development of seven storeys. The scale of the blocks is moderated to address the surrounding low-level housing and taller commercial buildings. The brick façade of the building echos the traditional materials of the area, and enhances the setting of the Portland stone Georgian Law Society (former Blue Coat School) building.
