The masterplan for this high-profile site adjacent to the Mary McAleese bridge in Drogheda, Co. Louth, calls for the creation of a series of ‘neighbourhood areas’, each giving a diverse character and atmosphere to the streets, squares, parks and avenues of the scheme. Existing natural and archaeological features are preserved, enhanced and incorporated into the development, to achieve a sense of place rooted in the locality. Existing mature woodland and access to the banks of the River Boyne contribute to a very high level of outdoor amenity.
