Sustainability
At NDBA, we believe that sustainable design and good design are one and the same thing. The conventional view of sustainable design is one which seeks to minimise the negative environmental impact of buildings by enhancing efficiency and moderation in the use of materials, energy, and development space. Whilst we are committed to an architecture which considers energy and environmental impact from the outset, we also believe that sustainable design caters for sustainable living. Architecture is a public art and we believe that the quality of our built environment directly influences the quality of our lives. As architects, we actively shape communities, the built environment and its form, fabric and interior spaces, its landscape and public spaces.
Our decisions make a difference to many people over long spans of time. It is our responsibility to design with the future of others in mind and to consider the whole life and global perspective as well as the local context. NDBA Architects endeavours to create an enhanced quality of life through the realisation of healthy, uplifting buildings.
