Our practice has fundamental values that are at the core of everything we do; 'Design Excellence', 'Architecture as a Collaborative Process', and the 'Creation of Sustainable Projects'. We believe that creativity and viability are not mutually exclusive and we strive to combine contemporary design with consistency and deliverability. Based on these beliefs, NDBA is able to approach any type of project and deliver outstanding results. NDBA Architects success is based on the talent and expertise of our staff. From start to finish, you will find a team of experts with a genuine desire to deliver a shared vision. The practice is able to provide staff with appropriate experience across a broad range of disciplines, from architectural design to master planning, sustainable design, interior design and conservation. Our guiding philosophy is "excellence through design".

Team

NDBA Architects has, since its foundation always strived to produce high quality Architecture combined with a comprehensive and thoroughly professional service to its clients. Through the involvement of its principals in Architectural Education and Professional Practice issues with our representative body, the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI), the practice has always kept up to date with design; planning and regulation changes. As a practice, we constantly improve our service through regular reviews and analysis of the quality and value of each project during its design, construction and particularly post completion. NDBA Architects operate using a number of Quality Management Systems. These systems are developed around the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland ‘Good Practice Guide’ and the RIBA ‘Workbook’ procedures and ISO 9001:2000 standard.

Sustainability

"The good building is not one that hurts the landscape, but one which makes the landscape more beautiful than it was before the building was built." Frank Lloyd Wright

At NDBA, we believe that sustainable design and good design are one and the same thing. The conventional view of sustainable design is one which seeks to minimise the negative environmental impact of buildings by enhancing efficiency and moderation in the use of materials, energy, and development space. Whilst we are committed to an architecture which considers energy and environmental impact from the outset, we also believe that sustainable design caters for sustainable living. Architecture is a public art and we believe that the quality of our built environment directly influences the quality of our lives. As architects, we actively shape communities, the built environment and its form, fabric and interior spaces, its landscape and public spaces.

Our decisions make a difference to many people over long spans of time. It is our responsibility to design with the future of others in mind and to consider the whole life and global perspective as well as the local context. NDBA Architects endeavours to create an enhanced quality of life through the realisation of healthy, uplifting buildings.
