Two new houses with a bold contemporary aesthetic are proposed for this site, taking full advantage of the change in level of the site to provide homes of a striking sculptural and material quality. A shallow barrel vault roof will reduce the visual impact of the houses to Orwell Road, while to the rear, the main levels of the houses overhang the garden to provide intimate shaded areas.
