Rosemont Secondary School

This new 350 students international secondary school is located in the foothills of the Dublin mountains. The building comprises of 1.5 to 2 storeys and is designed in a trigleaf form, with the sports hall, a classroom block and assembly block radiating from a central general purpose forum area acting as the fulcrum to the scheme. The building has been subtly inserted into the landscape, and the landscape design assists in the natural integration of the building. A carefully chosen palette of materials including brick stone and render, together with a sedum roof assists in the assimilation of the building into the sloping fields either side. The resulting building is a bright, contemporary learning environment with a direct connection to the land and the local community.
