Morgan Hotel

The Morgan Hotel is a modern design boutique style hotel located in the heart of Dublin’s cultural left bank Temple Bar. NDBA Architects have been involved with this hotel since the mid 90’s when it was Irelands first and only boutique hotel. When the Fitzpatrick Hotel group acquired the hotel in 2002 we were approached to carry out an ambitious extension and refurbishment programme. Phase 1 involved the redesign of the ground floor, the purpose of the new intervention was twofold; firstly to increase the street presence of the hotel and secondly to create a bar that reflected the contemporary style of the hotel and which would be able to cater for the serving of breakfast and lunch. Phase 2 was a 55 bedroom extension to the Morgan Hotel and an extension to the existing Bar and Restaurant with the provision of 6 Business Suites. The current hotel has 120 rooms, which are a combination of suites, apartments, and standard rooms all completed in minimalist style.
