Low-medium density residential development with limited amount of neighbourhood facilities were sought for this site, so as not to detract business and character from the village core nearby. A new link road of almost a kilometer links the two nearby busy roads from the east to west. The Masterplan lands are directly located on the rural fringe of the village and the Planners acknowledged this is a key site in the careful expansion of nearby Drogheda. Building finishes were slightly varied to provide a difference in line, finishes and give the masterplan development area a “progressive vernacular” appearance. Stone and brick together with neutral render are used to ensure the buildings external aspect is respectful of its location, aswell as durable against the elements locally- the sea is located less than a kilometre away.

Landscaping and open space is designed within the site to ensure the flowing of green spaces continues inward and outward from the surrounding countryside.
